You don't necessarily have to write your message in order to share itNot everyone can sit down to a blank page and rattle off their thoughts, let alone coherent thoughts. In fact, quite a few of my own clients have struggled to extract their message from their brains to the page. Too often it stops brilliant people from communicating at all.

But the fact remains, you do have to share your story and your message, and one of the best ways to do it is through the written word – so how do you make content creation less of a bloody battlefield and more of a nature stroll?

Don’t sit down to a blank page and try to write.

Wait, wha?

Clearly it’s not working for you. So approach it from another angle.

I recommend you dictate your thoughts into your phone notes using talk to text – stream of consciousness style. Then your only task is to edit it, and that’s much less daunting of a task than a blank page.

If that still doesn’t work for you, maybe your specialty is video, or photography, or papier-mâché. Whatever it is, find a compelling way to communicate your message.

Your voice is meant to be heard. Your story is meant to be shared. Get it out there.
